  • Spring Celebration and Campus Dedication

Holy Trinity Montessori celebrated a major milestone on Saturday, May 6, 2017: our Spring Celebration, which included a Blessing Ceremony for our new campus, a Celebration Concert, and a family-friendly party on the grounds. We were pleased to welcome friends, families, and supporters from over the years to explore our beautiful new facilities and celebrate together.

Our Blessing Ceremony started with a performance of our school song, “We Are All Friends Here,” by our student body under the direction of our music teacher, Anadara Arnold. Following this, Head of School Kate Riley thanked and honored those individuals who have played pivotal roles in the development of our school and the building of our current campus. Pastor Kevin Strickland invited all present to participate in offering a beautiful prayer of blessing over our school, our students and families, and our future together.

The Blessing Ceremony also included special music and two separate presentations of gifts to Kate in honor of her vision and work – a gorgeous handmade tapestry from our wonderful friends at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and a trio of oil paintings depicting the past, present, and future of our school from our Parent Teacher Organization. Finally, Kate and the staff were joined on stage by representatives from the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, signifying the official opening of our new campus.

Once the ceremony concluded, our guests enjoyed a day of fun on the grounds, featuring delicious food and drinks, festival-style activities and crafts, vendor booths, and more. Country music star Jo Dee Messina and her band rounded out the celebration with an amazing concert under the tent.

Our Spring Celebration was a beautiful way to celebrate a big achievement in the history of our school, and it is a moment that will live on in our memories for a long time to come.
